Specialized channels

I hate free TV channels for the mass audience, as they are uninteresting and boring. Besides, they are full of irritating advertisement. I never watch them. I prefer to watch specialized cable TV channels. They are very useful and informative. I think that they can even replace books. They are very useful for many reasons. The importance of specialized channels can scarcely be overestimated. They are especially useful for children. I’ll try to explain you why. For example, what is better for a child: to read a lot of books about knights and try to imagine their look and appearance, or to see the reconstructed image of a knight on the TV screen? I think that it is much better to see him with your own eyes. Seeing is believing.
There is one more reason why specialized channels are useful for children and teenagers. It is not a secret that young people don’t like reading books. It’s a pity because they lose much in this life. They are very often ignorant of history, geography and so on. Fortunately, today they can make up for the lack of knowledge with watching these channels. Besides, there are a lot of people, who are very busy with their household tasks and have no time to sit on a sofa and watch TV. However, they can, for example, wash the plates and listen to the program, looking at the screen at times. Thus they can combine business with pleasure. I am fond of specialized channels too. When I watch them I can’t tear myself away from the TV screen.

Modern Television

I have found out that I hate modern television. Here I mean, of course, free channels for mass audience. As for specialized channels, for example history, educational, music channels, they are very interesting and when you start watching them, you often can’t turn off your TV-set, because each next program seems more interesting than previous ones. Quite a different impression produce popular channels for mass audience. They are full of irritating and annoying advertisement, which repeats several times a day or even several times during one program. Besides, it is very long and when it ends, you don’t remember what you are watching. This leads to constant switching over channels. It turns out that you manage to watch several TV shows at the same time and as a result there is such confusion that you may have headache or other disturbances. TV men complain that they lack money as their television is free and that is why they are forced to show advertisement very often. However, I think that causes and effects have changed their places. I mean that it is not advertisement that exists for moneyed assistance of TV channels. On the contrary, TV shows and programs exist to dilute advertisement with something, which is not so disgusting for people. Experience shows that advertising channels are not successful, because nobody is ready to watch advertisement all day long. Besides all TV shows are also low-brow and uninteresting. People, who participate in them, are mainly actors, low-brow actors and beginners. All talks on TV shows are unnatural and very far from real life.
