TV and manipulation

It is very sad to write this message, but everything written here is true. Most people spend their leisure time at home before the TV screen. Our authorities know it very well. That is why they consider television to be the most powerful instrument for propaganda. They manipulate social views and tell us how we should live our lives. Mature and smart people understand it very well, they don’t watch TV, as they know that there is nothing interesting for them. TV can be interesting for several categories of citizens. The first category consists of housewives, pensioners and their supporters. They are absolutely narrow-minded people, they are ready to watch anything they are offered. They sympathize with stupid main heroes of their favorite soap operas. They believe all news they hear in information programs. The second category consists of pseudo-clever and mature people. These people pretend to be clever, they watch various political shows, analytics and other staff of this kind. They think over these programs, analyze information and make conclusions. However, they are not clever enough to understand that this entire staff is false. These programs are meant for manipulation of social consciousness. The real state of affairs remains behind the news we hear and only really clever people can understand this real state of affairs, deeply analyzing everything they hear. In order to analyze this material and make right conclusions, a person must have profound knowledge of various disciplines. Dilettantism is irrelevant here!

Satellite TV

Satellite television is a very good way to entertain yourself when you are at home and don’t know what to do. You can switch over thousands of channels and find something to your taste. There is no need to enumerate these channels and their subject areas, as there is no room in this article to mention all of them. It is enough to say that there are channels which cover almost all possible topics. Among them there are channels, devoted to fishing, sport, cinema, news, documentaries, history, geography, economy, nature, etc. If you are fond of one of these topics there can be two variants for you: either you will watch this or that channel all the time, as each next program is more interesting than the previous one or you may not watch TV at all, as you will understand that it become a sort of addiction. Addiction in turn can be treated only by means of complete rejection. Satellite TV gives you a splendid opportunity to forget about your problems and troubles and plunge into the world of interesting and amusing events, innovations and discoveries. Documentaries, films and programs, which are shown via satellite channels are not demonstrated on municipal TV, as these channels are meant for an average low-brow citizen, who is not interested in specific topics, such as historical events, investigations, geography and wild life. They mostly prefer soap operas, low-brow TV shows, where instead of ordinary people, actors participate and thus deceive those, who watch them. Of course, satellite channels are intended for housewives and workers. Every man to his taste.

Specialized channels

I hate free TV channels for the mass audience, as they are uninteresting and boring. Besides, they are full of irritating advertisement. I never watch them. I prefer to watch specialized cable TV channels. They are very useful and informative. I think that they can even replace books. They are very useful for many reasons. The importance of specialized channels can scarcely be overestimated. They are especially useful for children. I’ll try to explain you why. For example, what is better for a child: to read a lot of books about knights and try to imagine their look and appearance, or to see the reconstructed image of a knight on the TV screen? I think that it is much better to see him with your own eyes. Seeing is believing.
There is one more reason why specialized channels are useful for children and teenagers. It is not a secret that young people don’t like reading books. It’s a pity because they lose much in this life. They are very often ignorant of history, geography and so on. Fortunately, today they can make up for the lack of knowledge with watching these channels. Besides, there are a lot of people, who are very busy with their household tasks and have no time to sit on a sofa and watch TV. However, they can, for example, wash the plates and listen to the program, looking at the screen at times. Thus they can combine business with pleasure. I am fond of specialized channels too. When I watch them I can’t tear myself away from the TV screen.

Modern Television

I have found out that I hate modern television. Here I mean, of course, free channels for mass audience. As for specialized channels, for example history, educational, music channels, they are very interesting and when you start watching them, you often can’t turn off your TV-set, because each next program seems more interesting than previous ones. Quite a different impression produce popular channels for mass audience. They are full of irritating and annoying advertisement, which repeats several times a day or even several times during one program. Besides, it is very long and when it ends, you don’t remember what you are watching. This leads to constant switching over channels. It turns out that you manage to watch several TV shows at the same time and as a result there is such confusion that you may have headache or other disturbances. TV men complain that they lack money as their television is free and that is why they are forced to show advertisement very often. However, I think that causes and effects have changed their places. I mean that it is not advertisement that exists for moneyed assistance of TV channels. On the contrary, TV shows and programs exist to dilute advertisement with something, which is not so disgusting for people. Experience shows that advertising channels are not successful, because nobody is ready to watch advertisement all day long. Besides all TV shows are also low-brow and uninteresting. People, who participate in them, are mainly actors, low-brow actors and beginners. All talks on TV shows are unnatural and very far from real life.

TVmania

Is it possible to find a person nowadays, who doesn’t like to watch TV? I think that it is possible but very difficult. The fact that a person doesn’t like to watch TV, means that he/she is out of fashion and even out of life. All newest information we get from TV and Internet. Internet requires browsing various sites for searching the necessary information and watching TV requires only switching the channels which is much easier and less intellectual. So, almost all people, young and old watch TV and all of them can easily find there something interesting for themselves. Then, after watching something, people like to discuss it with their friends and share opinions about what they have seen on the TV screen. Imagine a situation, that you are offered to watch a movie, which has never been seen by anyone in this world and won’t be seen in future. Will it be interesting for you to watch it? I suppose not. Why? Because you won’t have an opportunity to share your opinion about this movie with your friends, relatives and acquaintances. For some people the most interesting in watching TV shows and movies is not the very process of watching but their further discussion. Thus, if a person is deprived of an opportunity to talk about them, he/she is reluctant to watch them.

There are also people, for whom it is enough to watch something and avoid discussions about what they have seen. These people are egoists; they only absorb information and don’t share it with other people. The amount of these people is great. So, as you see, TV is appreciated by all people: young and old, sociable and reserved, talkative and silent. No matter if you like to discuss movies or shows, you like to watch them in any case.
